Greta McClain

INNOVATIVE, MOTIVATED, ADAPTIBLE

I am a determined, confident woman who is not afraid to embrace innovative ideas.  I utilize my adaptability and creative skills to produce programs that provide positive experiences for stateholders, marginalized individuals, service providers and the community at large.

I served as a police officer for twelve years before leaving to work with local nonprofits.  I founded a nonprofit after being sexually assaulted.  As an advocate and community organizer, I use my experience to support and inspire other survivors, educate communities and work to make my little corner of the world a more just and safe place to live.

I also use my years of experience to inform and inspire others, providing informational and motivational speaking services at churches, vigils, rallies, workshops and conferences.

“In a world where things are so often “either/or,” Greta is a refreshing dose of “both/and. After 12 years as a police officer and two decades with non-profits, Greta has a rare kaleidoscope of experiences that lures you in and teaches you things you didn’t know you needed to learn about the human condition.

Beth Smith McCaw

“Greta is not just a survivor—she is a force for change, a living testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the will to step out of the darkness to share her story in order to inspire others. There is no one more deserving of recognition and support for the incredible work she does every day, not simply because she believes that living free from violence is a fundamental human right, but because she firmly believes she has been called to lead the fight and make a difference.”
